Social activities

We really just want to have fun!

Our monthly meetup programs are carefully chosen to inform or to entertain or both!

Our Vice President/Programs (currently John P. Anthes and assistant Deborah Belasich) are constantly on the lookout for interesting speakers and topics and performers. At times, there may be a follow-on tour that aligns with the previous speaker’s topic, or the popular Sunport Tour. If you have any suggestions for a program, please email John P. Anthes or call him.

Want to not have to cook?

Not only do we enjoy the Coronado Thunderbirds programs, but the Mountain View Club offers great food.

  • You can purchase and enjoy a lunch out while visiting with other Club members.
  • The MVC has two weekly lunch buffets and monthly Sunday Brunches.
  • Other activities at the MVC offer food, but you can have fun while eating and socializing:  Relativity Bar + Grille Friday nights, BINGO with prizes, and a variety of shows (game, piano, comedy, etc.).

Food can also be enjoyed at the Sparetime Grill (Kirtland Lanes Bowling Center), the Coyote Grill (Tijeras Arroyo Golf Course), and the Base Exchange Food Court.

Want to stay in good shape?

Go bowling; work out at the Fitness Centers; swim in an indoor or outdoor pool; enjoy a round of golf; take a walk or jog at Hardin Field; or participate in Outdoor Recreation activities.

Want to engage in more leisurely activities?

Have some popcorn and enjoy a movie at the Base Theater; get tickets at ITT and take a tour in Old Town, ride the Sandia Peak Tramway, or go cheer the United at a home game. Don’t miss out on the Arts & Crafts activities: Wine & Paint; Virtual Canvas Fridays; and a variety of adult classes.
