Using Zoom Meetings Software
Dave Melgaard is our Zoom “GO-TO” person. Look in your email for information from Dave (firstname.lastname@example.org). Before the upcoming program, he will send you an email link for the Zoom program. If you don’t see any emails from him, check your Spam or Junk Mail files. As with the newsletter, his emails go out to a lot of members at once.
From Dave—We wanted to give you information about how you will be able to join our Zoom meeting. You will be receiving an email which will look something like what you see below:

If you are on a computer or smartphone you should click on the link (in bold orange) just below “Join Zoom Meeting.” If you just want to call in, just dial one of the numbers listed at the bottom (long-distance or data rates may apply if you don’t choose a toll-free number).
If you click the link and you don’t have Zoom loaded on your computer, you will see:
When you click on “Run” (at the bottom) or “download & run Zoom” (in the midde), Zoom will download and you will see one of the following windows. The first will appear if the meeting has not started, or the second if it has started and you are in the waiting room:
When the host lets you in, then you can join the meeting:
At that point you will see the participant. When you move your cursor, various controls will appear. The ones you will likely need are circled. On different devices, the controls may be in other locations.
(In “Speaker View,” the speaker will be larger.)
I realize you may have a different device and your experience may be somewhat different from this. If you have questions or problems, just email me at email@example.com.
Be “seeing” you soon.
If you already have a Zoom account, you can sign into it to “Join Meeting.” You will need to input the Meeting ID and password, found in the email from Dave Melgaard. Dave has set up the General Meeting as recurring, so if you don’t have a new email from Dave, you can use a previous email from him.
If you know of anyone or any group who might be interested in giving a presentation to the Coronado Thunderbirds, contact Dave Melgaard, Vice President/Programs.
